Description
This beautiful square coffee table in mahagony was designed by the Swedish designer Carl Malmsten and has elegant beveled legs. The table is called “Alltid redo” (Always prepared).

CM (1888-1972), was a proponent of traditional Swedish craftsmanship available for a wide audience at a reasonable price. CM was very much inspired by the nature. ”Swedish grace” was mostly CM´s elegant furnitures. In 1916, he established his studio in Stockholm. He designed for NK Stockholm and for a number of highly important clients as Gustaf VI Adolf in the Ulriksdal Palace, Stockholm’s Concert Hall , Waldorf-Astoria in New York among others. CM was awarded with several prestigious awards including the Prince Eugen Medal. He founded the Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies in Stockholm, which became a department at the Linköpings University in 2000.
