Designer: Fulvio Bianconi

FB was an Italian glass designer. He was born in 1915 in Padua and started his career as an apprentice in the Murano glass furnaces as an illustrator and graphic designer. In 1946, FB met Paolo Venini and they started an extensive collaboration with Venini’s Murano-based glass house, a pioneer of 20th-century glass production. With Venini, FB created strikingly colored, simply
shaped vases, as well as lighting, such as this alluringly biomorphic Fazzoletto series and the multicolored Pezzati vases. FB died in Milano 1996.
